It’s not enough to see art. I have to experience art & beauty and try to recreate it. I have to express my reaction to the surprises of life, to the whimsical in 3 dimensions – oil, ceramic, wood, in whatever way possible. www.Sacfinearts.org/membergalleries 916.983.3308

I am primarily self-taught but I credit several sources with furthering my skills: Daniel Greene, Portrait Artist; Susan Sarback, School of Light and Color; Victoria Brooks, Impressionist Artist; Marliyn Rose, Impressionist Artist; plus a wide variety of books and videos put out by professional artists. My preferred mediums are oil and soft pastel.
For me, art is a journey; the end product is the result of that journey. Each still life and landscape I select presents its own unique challenge. I enjoy the process and hate to see each painting end. I can be contacted through the 404 Art Gallery

The best finger painter in first grade -- so began my lifelong interest in art and painting. It wasn't until retirement, when I was given a set of oil paints as a gift, that I was able to pursue my dreams on a full-time basis. I attended several weeks of training from Johnnie Liliedahl and have taken workshops from several well known painters including David Leffel & Morgan Weistling,
My painting medium is oil. It gives me the depth of color and jewel tones that I desire. I experiment with many different techniques, so my painting style is always evolving. Florals are a favorite subject matter, but with a twist - I rev up the colors, supersize them, and/or totally change the colors.
I also work with photography - but with a twist. I produce "digital watercolors" or "digital oil paintings". I try to take an ordinary photo and elevate it to a "work of art". 916-409-0988

Art touches our soul and can awaken us to truth and change our hearts. In my work I intend to tell a story, to inspire, and make an impassioned profession of my faith. I aim to create something in between mere symbol and ordinary reality, to depict transcendence from the natural to the supernatural and to reflect both levels of existence.

Art and mother earth are my soul. I always loved nature and had a fascination with beautiful colors and scenery. That love encouraged me to create some art forms ever since I was a young girl.
I have traveled through many different countries, and seen the beauty of nature, people with beautiful culture and languages. Through art I have found a place, where I do feel I can communicate with the world. arly age, I have developed a style that reflects my love of the sea and the natural beauty of the West Coast.

I believe it's in our innate nature to create, each creation dipping into one's soul - who we are, our culture, our experiences, our life's joys and sorrows. Along with it, our attitude and our wildest imagination and fantasies. The creative process can be soul searching, reflective, relaxing to an extent, but quite intense at times.
My style is varied from realism, surrealism and abstract and my medium ranges from oil, watercolor, mix media, printmaking, ceramics, and paper Mache'. The combination of varied style and medium is exciting and challenging.
